Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is a world leading organization committed to the treatment and reintegration of patients suffering from obstetric Fistula and the training and deployment of qualified midwives to prevent obstetric Fistula and other child birth injuries.

HFE is founded in 1974 by Drs Catherine and Riginald Hamlin have been caring for the women of Ethiopia for almost 40 years. As well as our main hospital in Addis Ababa we also have 5 regional hospitals, a rehabilitation, and reintegration center and a midwifery school. We also deploy midwives into 25 health centers across the country and provide mentoring and other support services to these health centers. The Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital) would like to invite potential applicants for the following positions.

Job Title:-Lecturer in English Language

education:-Master Degree in Education or associated ESL, EFL

Experience:-Native English speaker 2 years EFL, ESL, with some experience in non English speaking countries Ethiopian English Teacher 2 years experience teaching English in an interactive environment

Essential Requirement:-Prepared and committed

Major Tasks:

To prepare lesson plans including timing for he designated course based on the schedule and credit hours allocated
To prepare teaching materials, lecture, power point, handouts charts and photocopy them as necessary
To provide class room lectures and effectively teach subjects allocated to him/ her according to the course outline presented in the curriculum
To evaluate English course outline from the curriculum and make recommendations to the line manager
To provide English support skills to student across all years and subjects
To work within the overall English curriculum framework ensuring effectives activities
To teach specific English programs or subjects assisting students with assignments and working closely with tutors to provide support
To maintain and expand English language resources for students and teachers
To support additional services, such as college newsletters and publications in English language
To assist in developing research and report preparation skills to enable students to reach proficiency in academic areas.
