Job Purpose
- The finance intern role is targeting young professionals who are recent graduates and/or have no or little on-the-job experience. The intern will work closely with the Senior Associate Finance, who will provide the needed mentorship and coaching to allow the intern develop their on-the-job skills. Based on performance during the internship s/he may eventually transition into a Finance Associate Role This is a full time paid internship.
Requirements For Finance Internships In Kenya
The applicant for this role should meet the following minimal requirements
- Legally qualifies to be employed and work in Kenya
- A Holder of Diploma or Degree in a Finance and/or Accounting Related discipline
- Professional Qualification in Finance or Accounting or currently pursuing the qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA)
- Valid certificate of Good Conduct
- Proficient MS office user. Proficiency in spreadsheet applications is essential.
- Proficient user of office productivity and collaboration tools
- Agile analysis and reporting skills

Finance Internship Responsibilities In Kenya
- Posting entries into the Accounting system
- Verification of invoices and preparation of payments requests for approval
- Ensure proper record management of all supporting documentation relating to financial transactions.
- Managing accounts payable
- Petty cash Management
- Preparation of Purchase orders for approval.
- Ensure compliance to financial policies and best practices in transactions processed
