Habitat for Humanity international
is a nonprofit ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live.

Following the successful tour of duty and achievement made by the national management team, Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia is now looking for the services of a suitable candidate to fill the position of procurement officer who will oversees the purchasing role of the entire organization.

This position is responsible to evaluate the needs in the financial and administrative procedures for improved accountability and accuracy, and office efficiency, bearing in mind the capabilities of field staff/volunteers, an makes recommendations to the senior management and /or the board for policy and procedure changes.

Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:

  • BA in purchasing and supplies Mgt, business administration from a recognized  University with a minimum of 2 years work experience or equivalent Diploma from a recognized college with a minimum of 4 years work experience
  • At least two years of business or NGO experience in finanacial and administrative management
  • Computer literate and familiar on market
  • Fluency in English and Amharic and Amharic typing skills preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • A willingness to communicate and affirm the Christian roots and principles of Habitat for Humanity international and Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia
