The ministry of industry of the federal Democratic republic of Ethiopia wants to recruit the following professionals for the Ethio-sudan special economic zone project on a contractual basis:

  1. Project manager
  2. Project accountant
  3. Project economics
  4. Project Engineer
  5. Executive secretary
  6. Cashier

vi. TERMS OF REFERENCE OF CASHIER

 

The cashier shall perform the following tasks:

 

  1. Manage all the cash transactions in the project office
  2. Maintain daily account of the daily cash transactions
  3. Balance the daily account at the end of each day
  4. Check the daily cash balance
  5. Interact  with staff and clients that come to the counter for payment
  6. Solve all cash related queries of clients and staff 
  7. Check the accuracy of amounts of payments to be made as well as receipts
  8. Organize and maintain the accounting records
  9. Report discrepancies within the accounts to project accountant
  10. Make daily, weekly and monthly transaction reports
  11. Perform other tasks as may be assigned

 

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

 

A technical & Vocational school diploma in business or commerce is mandatory

 

Essential knowledge and skills

 

  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in mathematics
  • Ability to organize data and draft reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
