SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - INVENTORY

Grade:-7
Department:-Finance
Duty stations:-Debre Berhan
Reporting to:-Manager, G/L Account
Positions supervised:-None

Job Summary:

The senior inventory accountant is in charge of Habesha’s inventory accounting. For this role we are looking for an experienced finance professional with a background in inventory accounting with a good eye for detail, team player, self –motivated and a driver of financial discipline

Major responsibilities

Responsible for the correct addition and consumption processes of the Habesha inventory
Ensure best practice inventory processes and controls
Ensure compliance to the Habesha finance Handbook
Stock level forecasting
Drive collaboration within the accounting department, working closely together with the Goods in transit accountant and fixed asset accountant
Manage inventory counts and write offs.
Manage external auditors with regard to inventory related issues
Identify and address any accounts related problems on an immediate basis
Establish and develop financial reports and other relevant management information for management regarding inventories

Required experience and knowledge

Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in inventory accounting
Experience in a commercial multinational work environment
Experience in the beverage industry is considered a big plus
Completed university degree in business economics or financial accounting
Excellent command of English and Amharic both written and spoken
Good command of Microsoft word and excel
Eye for detail
