Objective: The purpose of Livelihoods and IGA Advisoris to lead the planning and implementation of livelihoods promotion and income generating activating activities (IGA) to address the needs and priorities of chronically food insecure households that are impacted by the drought. A) Education /Training

BA/BSc Degree in rural development, studies, Agriculture, economics, income generation, social sciences, or related field of study.

B) Experience:

8 years of progressive experience for BA and 6 years experience for MA that is related to emergency response/economic development within the holistic livelihoods and income generating framework in rural areas, including experience with sustainable livelihoods and income  generating activities (IGA) programming, rural development and food security programs. Ability in interpersonal relationship, proposal development and team work is required.

The salary for this position is $990. The duty station is Addis Ababa with regular travel to the field sites. The deadline for applications is 10 days from the date of advertising and this is a regular full time position.
