Ethiopian Airlines is interested to accept, train and recruit candidates fulfilling the below requirements. These training programs are designed for Ethiopian Citizens only.

Qualifications for Pilot Training School (PTS)

BSC degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /Civil Engineering/ Industrial Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/ Hardware Engineering OR in Physics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/Computer Programming/ Information Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university/ college with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and above (from Recognized Ethiopian Higher Institutions) and CGPA of 3.0 (for countries other than Ethiopia)

Note:

Height minimum 1.70 meters.

Age limit for external applicants 21 - 25 years old. For Internal Applicants < 27 years old

Applicants should be Natural Science Stream students at Preparatory Program or High School.

Qualifications for Maintenance & Engineering

Aircraft Airframe Technician Trainees:

A minimum total score of 300 in Ethiopian University Entrance Exam Result of which a minimum of 60% grade point in Mathematics, Physics and English Language each.

 OR

A Natural Science Stream student having up to and including 65 credit hours and a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 from a recognized College/University.

 OR

10+3 or level IV diploma in General Mechanics/Metal Work/Metal Technology/General Metal Fabrication and Assembly/ Metal fabrication.

Note:

Height 1.65 meters and above.

Age limit for Internal & External applicants 18-25 years.

Applicants who have taken more than 65 credit hours at any accredited university/Colleges including degree graduates are overqualified and shouldn't apply.

Aircraft Avionics Technician Trainee:

A minimum total score of 300 in Ethiopian University Entrance Exam Result of which a minimum of 60% grade point in Mathematics, Physics and English Language each.

A Natural Science Stream student having up to and including 65 credit hours and a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 from a recognized College/University.

 OR

10+3 or level IV diploma in Auto electricity/Industrial Electronics/ Automotive Electricity & Electronics.

10+3 or Level–IV graduates from recognized college in / Electricity/ Electronics/ Automotive Technology/ Agro mechanics/ Metal Technology/Construction Technology/ Wood Work Technology/ Manufacturing Technology/ Drafting Technology /Automotive Technology/Auto mechanics/ General Mechanics and other technical related field of studies.

Note:

Height 1.65 meters and above.

Age limit for applicants 18-25 years.

Candidates who have above the stated qualification are over qualified and shouldn’t apply

Qualifications for Cabin Crew

A minimum total score of 300 in Ethiopian University Entrance Exam Result of which a minimum of 60% grade point in English Language.

  OR

A Social or Natural Science Stream student having a minimum cumulative Grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 from a recognized College/University.

  OR

10+3 or Level IV diploma in social or natural science field of studies.

  OR

Diploma from a recognized International Community Schools.

Age Limit: For external applicants 20-30 years old inclusive.

                 For Internal Applicants ≤ 30 years old.

Sex: Female Applicants only

Height: 159 cms and above.

Weight: proportional to height.

Note:

Knowledge of foreign language other than English is advantageous.

A Social or natural Science Stream student with a minimum of 30 credit hours with 2.5 and above Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a recognized College/ University.

 OR

10+3 or Level IV diploma in Social or Natural science fields of studies from a recognizedCollege or university.

 OR

Diploma from a recognized International Community Schools
